We have another new member of the Horslyx Ambassador Team, Ellie Townend.  Just in time for Christmas, Ellie has been using Horslyx as part of her feeding regime for several months and loves the benefits it provides. Here, Ellie introduces herself and tells us a little more about  her aims for 2023.

“My name is Ellie Townend and I’m now 21. I was the original pony mad girl and I started riding at a riding school. Mum bought me and my sisters a pony to share when we were 12 – I’ve been obsessed ever since!!  I am a young event rider competing a range of horses from babies doing their first events to more experienced horses at 3*.

I’m kept busy with a yard of 12 horses currently including six that I compete.  As well as eventing full time, I run my own yard of liveries and do a lot of teaching. My aims for this season are the Intermediate Champs at the Festival of British Eventing on my top horse Albs, to step Barbie up to BE3*, get Romeo happy at Novice/2* and to get my 5yo’s out eventing confidently.

All my horses LOVE their Horslyx. I particularly like the Mobility Balancer as I am extremely grateful for anything that gives my horses extra support, when they do such a demanding sport. I really like to give the Garlic Balancer in the field in summer to prevent against flies and the smaller Mini Horslyx are so helpful with babies, making for pleasurable associations or for horses that can be tricky to clip or with the farrier as a brilliant distraction.

I’m really happy to become part of the Horslyx Team and I’m looking forward to keeping you updated with our year ahead.”

We are looking forward to finding out how Ellie gets on, but for now, Merry Christmas and the best of luck for 2023.
