The Horslyx Stable is full of talent, and the latest addition is no different!
Jessie Kirby, based in Wiltshire, has been riding and competing from an early age, but dressage has always been her first love. Find out more about Jessie here…
“I started riding at about 6 years old with a very naughty pony who got sent home from Pony Club camp! At around 9 years old, I was lucky enough to go the Pony Club Championships (on my better behaved pony by then) for dressage and was hooked and announced that I wanted to be a dressage rider (I didn’t like going fast very much!). I competed for Great Britain for the first time aged 12 and have continued to represent Great Britain every year since. I am now a Young Rider and competing at PSG level with my horse Windy de la Roche CMF, who this year also was reserve champion at Advanced Medium Silver Winter Champs and was selected as part of the Nations Cup Team for Young Riders. I also have an Iberian who is PSG level and last year took him to Italy for the MCI European Championships where we won double gold and were crowned European Champion! This was so exciting for his owners and me.
I currently have six competition horses, most of whom are younger and training up the levels. I really enjoy the process of training the young horses and the satisfaction when they learn a new movement and start to step up their work.
I have used Horslyx Balancers for a while now for a multitude of reasons, I use the bigger tubs in the winter turn out pens to keep the horses occupied if they can’t go out whilst I use the smaller ones to occupy the younger ones when shoeing or travelling. Not only do the horses see them as a great treat. but I am also reassured that they are getting a good balance of nutrients whilst keeping them happy! They all like different formulations, but most enjoy the Original Balancer and Windy loves the Pro Digest Balancer.”
A warm welcome to Jessie Kirby, and best wishes for a successful 2023!
