Finally the spring and summer season is upon us. Time to load up the picnic basket, clear the diary and make way for some fun equestrian adventures.

We have picked some of our favourite equestrian inspired outings that are on our wishlist for this summer.

The Equi Trek Bramham International Horse Trials.
When? 8th – 11th June
Where? Bramham Park, Wetherby, Yorkshire
Website: http://www.bramham-horse.co.uk/
Why we love it: Bramham has all the prestige and excitement of a big international three day, but with a little bit more of a personal feel so you can get close to the action! You will get to see the leading riders in the world competing for the title, as well as shop until you drop in their amazing trade stand area.
Don’t miss: While this is an eventing competition predominantly, there are also plenty of other spectacles to watch, including the Hunter Show, Stallion Parade and Pony Club antics!

The Scottish Horse Show
When? 18th July
Where? Royal Highland Showground, Edinburgh
Website: http://www.scottishhorseshow.com/
Why we love it: A showcase of some of the country’s finest horses and ponies – in a beautiful setting. With plenty of qualifiers for HOYS, you will get the chance to see some of the leading riders compete and qualify. This is a lovely personal show where you can get up close to the horses and riders and enjoy a fun day out for all the family.
Don’t miss: We love the M&M classes at this show – see native horses and ponies in all their glory, make sure you take a moment to appreciate the effort that goes into presenting each and every horse and pony at the show!

The Longines Royal International Horse Show.
When? 25 – 30 July
Where? The All England Jumping Course, Hickstead, Sussex
Website: http://www.hickstead.co.uk//tickets-and-events/horse-shows/the-longines-royal-international-horse-show/
Why we love it: There is something for all the family at Royal International. Sit in the grandstand and watch amazing showjumping, explore the many rings around the showground and watch some of the leading show riders strut their stuff, or indulge in some retail therapy from the huge selection of tradestands on offer.
Don’t miss: The amazing and exhilarating Eventers’ Challenge on Thursday – it always proves to be exciting and nail biting as the show jumpers and eventers compete for the title.

The Trailblazers Championships Finals
When? 28th July – 5th August
Where? Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire
Website: http://www.trailblazerschampionships.com
Why we love it: Trailblazers is an unaffiliated series which culminates in the finals later on in the summer. If you want to watch amazing grassroots riders fulfil their dreams of riding in championship arenas with their equine partners – then this is the event for you. Entry to the show is free and you will get to watch combined training, dressage, showing and working hunter and show jumping – PLUS shop in their lovely tradestand area.
Don’t miss: Following along with their blog before the championships so you get to read all the latest news from everyday amateur riders in their quest for the titles!

Dublin Horse Show
When? 9th – 13th August
Where? Dublin, Ireland
Website? http://dublinhorseshow.com
Why we love it? This is one of our favourites to attend both as a spectator and as a trade stand. There is always a real buzz about the showground and you will find an array of equestrian activities to watch – from nail biting show jumping with super speedy jump offs – to seeing the art and skill involved in the show ring.
Don’t miss: The music and entertainment at Dublin Horse Show is always something to get involved with! Fun and fabulous!
