Pandora Briselden – Looking ahead

Owen came back from his winter holiday in early December and has slowly been building back up.
Our first outing was the west wilts combined training where he won the novice section with a good yet frisky dressage and an easy clear. We then headed off to our first BD of the year at Burrows court farm where he decided it was way to exciting and we had a lot of added moves in our first test, but he pulled himself together for the elementary and won the bronze section. We were back at burrows court a week later and this time Owen was much more focused and two super tests meant we scored a huge 76% in the novice and won overall, and 70% in the elementary and won the bronze section. This was a very encouraging result and we now have some of our qualifying scores for petplan and regionals.
We then went back to working on our jumping after our little detour into dressage and we went to summerhouse BSJA where he jumped two great rounds, just with an unlucky pole in each. His aim for this year is to compete in trials again and hopefully get some good results!
I also went up to the BETA fair a few weeks ago and popped over to the Horslyx stand where it was lovely to finally meet lots of people and have a good chat.
