Pandora Briselden’s Blog: Success in sticky situations!

We caught up with youngest Horslyx Ambassador, Pandora, to find out how the start of her season as been, and what challenges she’s been faced with so far!

“Things have been super busy over the past few weeks with going back to school after Easter, etc. After Oasby as a nice run for Charlie, we went to Somerley Park, a beautiful event down in Hampshire”

“Despite awful conditions and knee deep mud, Charlie pulled out a beautiful test and a double clear inside the time for 10th place in a very hot section with lots of professionals. I also met two of the other Ambassadors, and we were all wearing our Horslyx coats!”

“I then went to Weston Park pony trial which was by far the biggest test either me or Charlie have ever been faced with!! He did a lovely – though slightly tense – test for a decent mark which put us in a pretty good position for the jumping. He did a really fabulous show jumping round a huge course with just one very silly pole caused by me, but was very respectable considering the problems it was causing! Cross country he pinged round, jumping lots of big, tricky combinations but then sadly the sticky ground took its toll and we retired. It was a shame but I was very proud of him and he stood his ground in a tough section.”

“Then I took my younger pony to Bovington BE100 where he put in a great performance for a 29.5 dressage followed by a super duper double clear to come 3rd, which I was thrilled with!”

“The St Mary’s NSEA show jumping was next and Owen was competing in the 1.00/1.05 and his first ever 1.10! He jumped out of his skin for a 7th in the 100 and a close 2nd in a full up 110

I am off to Broadway this weekend after watching Badminton the day before. The ponies have been loving their licks and I have been loving my kit – thank you, Horslyx!”
