Introducing Katherine Cooksley

It is very exciting for us to introduce Katherine Cooksley as one of our Horslyx Ambassadors for 2014!

“Welcome all, I am currently on the Para-Equestrian World Class Development Programme as a grade III rider. Being part of the Horslyx team means a huge amount to me, after years if using the products it’s great to now be working with Horslyx to promote them.”

“Grades start at 1a (most disabled) and go up to IV (least disabled). As a grade III rider I am able to walk, trot and canter in my dressage tests and perform lateral movements.”

“I started para-dressage just under three years ago after being spotted whilst out showjumping (my previous discipline). I started my para journey with my mare, Gemset who took me through my first year of para-dressage, even taking us to our first international competition, before having to retire due to injury. After a long search, in February 2012, Roh-Gold joined the team and he is my current partner. In our first year together he took me to my second international where we were placed first in the young riders section and we were also successful in both 2012 and 2013 at being placed first at Hickstead and then in 2013 we won the Winter Championships and came second at our second international representing Great Britain.”

“Roh-Gold is a 10 year old gelding who previously has competed up to Elementary. Over the two years of owning him he has come on in leaps and bounds and I’m hoping this year we’ll continue to be successful and hopefully attend our first 3* International later in the year.”

“I look forward to keeping you all updated with our progress over the next year as a Horslyx Ambassador.”
